Payday Budgeting
It would be amazing to track recurring transactions to see “free to spend” before one’s next payday
Investment account performance / ROI tracking over time
Currently, Piere shows net worth and percentage change in investment account values, but does not calculate true investment performance or return on investment (ROI) over time. Users would like to see metrics such as time-weighted return, total gain/loss, and annualized performance for their investment accounts – going beyond simple value change to reflect actual portfolio […]
Allow email address as a login option
Currently, Piere requires users to log in with their phone number and password. It would be useful to also support logging in with an email address, giving users the flexibility to choose their preferred credential. This would improve accessibility for users who prefer email-based authentication or who have trouble remembering which phone number is associated […]
Move profile, logout, and account controls to the top-right of the web app
On the Piere web/desktop app, the profile icon and account controls (including logout) are currently located at the bottom of the sidebar. Most web applications follow the convention of placing these controls in the top-right corner of the screen, which is where users instinctively look for them. Moving the profile menu, logout button, and related […]
Confirmation dialog or undo option for "Apply to All" transaction categorization
When applying a category or transaction rule to all matching transactions at once, the action currently takes effect immediately with no confirmation step or way to undo it. This can result in a large number of transactions being miscategorized if the button is pressed accidentally. It would be very helpful to either: – Show a […]
Face ID / biometric login on app open
Users would like to be able to open the Piere app and authenticate directly via Face ID (or Touch ID / biometric) without any additional steps – just tap the app icon and scan. Currently, the login process requires more steps than users expect. A streamlined biometric-first login experience would improve convenience and reduce friction […]
Ability to merge or combine duplicate accounts
When a loan or account is transferred or sold to a different servicer, it can appear as two separate accounts in Piere – one for the old servicer and one for the new one. Users would benefit from being able to merge or combine these two accounts into a single unified account, preserving the full […]
Rollover budget: keep category "under budget" color when cumulative balance is within range
When using rollover budgeting, category colors should reflect the cumulative (rolled-over) balance rather than just the monthly allocation. Currently, if a category exceeds its monthly limit in a given month, it displays as “over budget” (red) even when the accumulated rollover from prior months means the overall balance is still within the budget target. The […]
Connect the Dub investment account app to piere
I recently opened a dub app investment account and wanted to add it to piere so I could track all accounts. but notice you don't have that as an account to add… can this be done?
Top line account balances on Home Screen
Overview of account balances on the main dashboard. Quicken Simplifi has cards for: Banking total - Cash & Checking total - Savings total - Credit Card total Property & Debt total - Property total - Debt total Investing total - Brokerage total - Retirement total - Other investments total Net Worth total - Banking total - Property & Debt total - Investments total You can swipe between the four cards and […]
Add reports bar charts
Please change the pie chart in the new reports feature into bar charts. It’s nearly impossible to gain any insight from pies that have more than 2 or 3 pieces. 20 or more—yikes!
Manual transaction search field
When Creating a manual transaction, there is the account drop down, it would be nice to have a search field to type in the account name instead of scrolling to find that account. Some of us have a lot of different accounts to sort through when assigning an account to a manual transaction
Tie in cash transactions to ATM transactions
Basically any transaction that was categorized as “cash” could be automatically tied to my recent ATM withdrawals. So if, for example, I take out $100 from the ATM and then spend $50 of that cash on food and $50 on transportation and enter it in Piere, I’d ideally like Piere to know that I […]
Rearrange order of expenses (or income)
Currently discretionary spending is above mandatory. I’d like to be able to organize by priority of expense, from top to bottom
Filter for tagged/untagged
Be able to filter for transactions that aren’t tagged (e.g., in cases where you want to review new transactions, so you can filter by transactions that aren’t tagged yet)
More frequent manual account refresh / on-demand sync
Users want the ability to manually trigger account refreshes more frequently – ideally daily or on-demand – rather than being limited to approximately once per week. Currently, even when accounts show a “green” connected status, the last sync can be 2-3 days old and triggering a manual refresh is restricted in frequency. This is especially […]
Alphabetical sorting for merchant filter in Transactions screen
When filtering transactions by merchant in the Transactions screen, the list of available merchants should be displayed in alphabetical order. Currently the list has no apparent sorting, making it difficult to locate a specific merchant – especially for users with a large number of merchants. Alphabetical sorting would make the filter much easier to use.
Mark accounts as closed without removing them
Users would like the ability to mark an account as “closed” to indicate it is no longer active, without fully removing it from Piere. This would allow closed accounts to remain visible for historical reference (e.g., past transactions, net worth history) while being clearly distinguished from active accounts in the UI. This is especially useful […]
Apply transaction category rules retroactively to past transactions
When setting up a transaction categorization rule (e.g., “always categorize this vendor as Groceries”), users would like the option to apply that rule retroactively to all existing transactions from the same vendor – not just future ones. This would save significant time when a vendor has many historical transactions that need to be recategorized, and […]
Preserve historical budget amounts by period
When a budget amount is changed, the update currently applies retroactively to all past periods. It would be useful to have budget amounts locked to the period they were set in, so users can see what their budget was at any given point in time and whether they were within budget based on the original […]
Cash advance feature
Users are requesting the ability to access cash advances directly through Piere. This would allow users to get short-term funds against their upcoming income or account balances, helping them manage cash flow gaps without leaving the app. Adding a cash advance feature would expand Piere’s value as an all-in-one personal finance tool.
Monthly investment summary – track total invested vs. target each month
It would be useful to have a dashboard or report section dedicated to investment activity, showing: – Total amount invested each month (across all investment accounts) – A configurable monthly investment target – A clear indicator of whether the target was met for each month This would help users stay on track with their investing […]
Connect accounts via routing and account number (for unsupported institutions)
Some banks and financial services (e.g. CashApp, certain payroll providers) are not currently supported through Plaid or MX. Users would like the ability to connect their accounts by entering their routing and account numbers directly, so they can track deposits and transactions from these institutions without relying on an automated connection. This would be especially […]
Dynamic vertical axis scaling on the Net Worth chart
The Net Worth line chart should dynamically adjust its vertical (Y) axis based on the range of values being displayed. Currently, the axis appears to use a fixed scale, which means small but meaningful changes in net worth appear as only a few pixels of movement — making it difficult to spot trends or gauge […]
Include merchant/description details in large transaction email alerts
When Piere sends an email notification for a large transaction, it would be helpful to include the merchant name and/or transaction description in the email body. Currently, users receive an alert without this context, requiring them to open the app to see the details. Adding the merchant/description to the notification email would make the alert […]
Customizable default date range for Home reports
It would be great if users could set a preferred default date range for reports on the Home screen – for example, choosing “Month to Date (MTD)” instead of the current default. Different users have different preferences for how they review their finances, and being able to set a sticky default would make the Home […]
Automatic categorization of manual transactions
automatically categorize manual transactions based on merchant like is already done for automated transactions.
Separate "Hide from Trends" and "Hide from Budget"
Right now, we have the option under Account Details to “Hide from Budgets & Trends”. It would be great if this was split into two options so we could chose to hide an account just from our budget or just from our trends
