Referral Program Policies

1. Introduction

Thank you for helping to grow our community. From time to time, Univers Tech, LLC dba Piere, its subsidiaries, and affiliates (“Piere”) may invite you to participate in one of our referral programs to encourage people to use the Piere application and/or website. Participating in a referral program (either by referring your friends or family or signing up with a referral link or code) can be a great way for users to receive rewards or other incentives (each a “Referral Reward”).

These Piere Referral Program Rules (the “Rules”) apply to referral programs that are administered by Piere. By accepting and sharing your referral link or code or by signing up with a referral link or code, you are agreeing to be bound by these Rules. Any violation of these Rules will not only prevent you from participating in any Piere referral program (now or in the future), but could also result in the forfeiture or retraction of rewards earned through the program and even the deactivation of your account.

Please note that these Rules are in addition to the Terms of Use as updated from time to time governing your use of Piere’s app, Piere’s Privacy Policy, as well as any agreement (if one exists) between you and Piere or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates related to your interactions with Piere.

 

2. Who is eligible to be a referrer/inviter?

Anyone may be a referrer/inviter who:

• is a legal resident of his/her country,
• is of legal age where they live,
• has a Piere account in good standing,
• and who is not a Piere employee or immediate family member.

Piere reserves the right to disqualify any user from the Piere Referral Program for any reason, at its sole discretion.

 

3. Who is eligible to be a referee/invitee?

Your friends, family, and other people you know (but not yourself) may be eligible to be referees/invitees. To determine eligibility, keep in mind the following stipulations:

Eligible referees/invitees for those who subscribe to Piere services:

To receive a Referral Reward for referring someone who subscribes to Piere services, your referee/invitee must:

• use your unique tracking code,
• be a new Piere user,
• register on a device that has never had Piere installed before,
• meet the conditions Piere has for using the app,
• subscribe to a paid annual subscription (please note, starting a trial for an annual subscription is insufficient; the user must convert to a paid annual subscription), and
• Not cancel or refund their subscription.

Referrers/inviters cannot:

• Refer themselves,
• Create duplicate/multiple accounts,
• Use spam or send unsolicited emails to potential referees/invitees,
• Manipulate referral details, or
• Engage in any fraudulent activities.

 

4. How can I use my referral link or code?

Piere encourages you to share your referral link or code and earn Referral Rewards, but referral links or codes must be used only for personal and non-commercial purposes. This means that you can share your referral link or code only with people you know. If you would like to refer users to Piere for commercial purposes, please contact us at contact@piere.com and inquire about our affiliation program.

You agree that you will not:

• Duplicate, sell, or transfer your referral link or code in any manner;
• Try to get referees/invitees by spamming, bulk emailing, or sending large numbers of unsolicited emails. The only people you should be emailing are people you know personally;
• Use, display, or manipulate Piere intellectual property (such as Piere’s logos, trademarks, and copyright-protected works) in any way, except to identify yourself as a Piere user, Piere referrer/inviter, or referrer/inviter for Piere;
• Create or register any (i) businesses, (ii) URLs, (iii) domain names, (iv) software application names or titles, or (v) social media handles or profiles that include the word “Piere” or any of Piere’s other trademarks or any words that are confusingly similar to Piere’s trademarks;
• Use Piere’s trademarks as your social media profile picture or wallpaper or use any of Piere’s copyright-protected works (such as graphics, photos, images, drawings, and screenshots from Piere’s website or app) without Piere’s express written permission;
• Purchase keywords (including, but not limited to Google AdWords) that contain any of Piere’s trademarks;
• Use automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute, post, or otherwise share your referral link or code;
• Use scripts or programmed or automatic dialers to send invites or otherwise share your referral link or code;
• Make misleading claims about Piere, use offensive/abusive content, create fake websites/webpages/social media profiles/apps, misrepresent your connection to Piere, or otherwise make any false or misleading statements to get a referee/invitee to use your link or code; or
• Use your referral link or code in any manner that violates the law or the rights of anyone else.

Remember, when you share your referral link or code, you should explain that you are a Piere referrer.

 

5. How do I earn my Referral Reward as a referrer/inviter?

Every successful referral will earn the referrer $15 in Referral Rewards. Each referrer is eligible for up to 20 successful referrals, or compensation of up to $300 in Referral Rewards. Referral Rewards shall be disbursed via Venmo or PayPal following the conclusion of each calendar month. It is the referrer’s responsibility to ensure that their payment information is current and accurate within their profile under Personal Information in the Settings tab of the Piere app. Upon the processing of the payment, the status of the amount disbursed will be updated from ‘Pending’ to ‘Paid’ on the referrer’s referral page.

Specific Requirements:

• For a referral to be considered successful, the referee/invitee must sign up using your referral link or code and convert to a paid annual subscription (not a trial).
• Canceled or incomplete subscriptions do not count toward these minimum requirements.

 

6. How can I earn a Referral Reward as a referee/invitee?

For Piere users, referees/invitees may receive a 25% discount on the annual subscription the first time they use the Piere application and/or website.

For referees/invitees to be eligible for the special offer and to qualify as successful referrals:

• They must sign up using the referral link or code provided in the invitation and convert to a paid annual subscription (not a trial) within 30 days of creating their account.
• They must convert to a paid annual subscription as their first purchase (i.e., if they start on a monthly subscription and then later convert to an annual subscription, they will not quality for the special offer.

 

7. Legal Terms

Piere reserves the right to change, end, or pause, in whole or in part, any referral program, as well as any referrer/inviter’s or referee/invitee’s ability to participate in any referral program or receive Referral Rewards at any time for any reason, including suspected fraud (including by either the referrer and/or referee/invitee), abuse, or any violation of these Rules as well as any agreement (if one exists) between you and Piere or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates. In accordance with applicable laws, if Piere ends any referral program, any unused or unredeemed Referral Rewards may be forfeited at that time, provided we give you 14 days of notice to use or redeem your Referral Rewards.

Piere may update these Rules at any time. If Piere makes an update, Piere will post the update on the Piere website and application and provide you notice of the update. Continued participation in any referral program after any update will mean that you have agreed to the update.

Piere makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Piere app, Referral Rewards, or your participation in the referral program. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Piere disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, with respect to the referral program, Referral Rewards, and any products or services provided through the program.

By participating in the Program, you agree to release and hold harmless Piere and its affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your participation in the Program.

By participating in the program, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Piere, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the referral program or Referral Rewards from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees) arising from:

• Your participation in the referral program;
• Your violation of any term of these Rules;
• Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any right of privacy or intellectual property rights; or
• Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
