Budget needs to be based on main category, not dozens of sub categories. It makes no sense to have budgets for 5-6 items each per main category, that is too granular and extremely cumbersome to the point that budgeting is near-useless. If I budget $500 for food, it shouldn't matter if I'm spending on fast food vs. restaurant etc. If you want to keep sub category budgets, then please keep it as a sub budget that deducts from the main budget, but you have to set the main category budget first. If I set $500 for food "Main Budget", and $250 for restaurants "Sub-Budget", it should give me up to $250 for Restaurants and the other $250 can be spread across any of the other food sub categories. This is critically needed to be fixed.
