Allow users to create fully custom budget categories that are not tied to transaction data. Users would manually enter the amount they plan to spend or pay for each category at the start of each month – for example, credit card balances due, recurring services (lawn care, house cleaning), and other planned expenses.

This would give users a forward-looking, cash-flow-style budget based on what they know is coming out of their checking account, rather than a retrospective view built from transaction history. It would also support partial payments on accounts (such as credit cards with promotional periods) where the user wants to budget a specific payment amount rather than the full balance.
