If you can’t sign in to Piere, work through the steps below in order. Most sign-in problems come down to one of three things: signing in with a different method than the one you registered with, an out-of-date install, or something on your phone or network quietly blocking the app’s connection.
1. Make sure you’re signing in with the method you registered with #
Your Piere account is tied to the way you originally signed up: a phone number, an email address, or a Google/Apple account. Signing in with a different identifier won’t find your account, even if it’s the same email or phone you use elsewhere.
- Signed up with your phone number? Sign in with your phone number, not your email.
- Signed up with your email? Sign in with your email, not your phone number.
- Signed up with Google or Apple? Use the “Sign In with Google” or “Sign In with Apple” button. Your email and password combination won’t work on the password form.
If you see a message that your user was not found, try the other identifier. Important: when you switch between email and phone number, fully reset the field first.
- Delete everything in the Email or Phone Number field, including anything your phone auto-filled.
- Tap outside the field so it fully resets. This step matters: once you start typing a phone number, the field switches to a numbers-only keyboard, and it can stay locked that way until you clear it and tap out.
- Tap back into the empty field and type your email or phone number fresh.
For phone numbers, enter just the 10 digits (for example, 5551234567). No dashes or country code needed.
2. Cover the basics #
- Update the app: Check the App Store or Google Play for a pending Piere update.
- Restart your phone: A simple restart clears many temporary glitches.
- Switch networks: Try cellular data if you were on Wi-Fi, or the other way around. If sign-in works on one network but not the other, jump to the network filtering section below.
- Clear the app’s cache (Android): Settings > Apps > Piere > Storage & cache > Clear cache.
- Reinstall the app: Uninstall Piere, restart your phone, and install it again from the store.
3. Check for something blocking Piere’s connection #
If the sign-in button just spins and you never see an error message, especially if your account works fine on another device or on the web at web.piere.com, something on your phone or network is probably filtering the app’s traffic. The usual culprits are VPN apps, private DNS settings, and ad blockers running on your phone or your home router.
Try Safe Mode (Android). Safe Mode temporarily disables every third-party app, including VPNs and ad blockers, so it’s the fastest way to confirm one of them is interfering.
- Press and hold the power button, then press and hold “Power off” on the screen until “Reboot to safe mode” appears. Tap it.
- Once the phone restarts, open Piere and try signing in.
- If sign-in works in Safe Mode, a third-party app is the cause. Restart normally and check the items below.
Check your VPN. Go to Settings > Network & internet > VPN (Android) or Settings > VPN (iPhone). If a VPN is configured, disable it and try signing in. On Android, also check the gear icon next to the VPN for “Block connections without VPN” — that setting silently drops app traffic whenever the VPN isn’t connected.
Check Private DNS (Android). Go to Settings > Network & internet > Private DNS. If it’s set to a hostname like dns.adguard.com or a NextDNS address, your phone is filtering traffic on every network, including cellular. Set it to Automatic, or add the domains below to that service’s allowlist.
Check ad blocking on your home network. If you run AdGuard Home, Pi-hole, NextDNS, or similar filtering on your router, Piere may be blocked for every device on your Wi-Fi. Either pause filtering to confirm, or add these domains to your allowlist:
- piere.com and all subdomains (allowlist as
*.piere.com) — the Piere app and API cognito-idp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com— secure sign-intxa6bbhlci.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.comandej8r3l7s5f.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com— Piere servicess3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com— app content*.plaid.com,*.mx.com,*.moneydesktop.com— bank connectionsapi.dwolla.com— transfersapi.revenuecat.com— subscription features (if this is blocked, paid features can appear locked)api.segment.io,cdn-settings.segment.com,sdk.iad-07.braze.com,*.braze-images.com,api.onesignal.com— in-app messages and notifications
Ad-block filter lists often include several of these by default, so a fresh filter update can break an app that worked yesterday.

You can always sign in from a computer at web.piere.com — the web app is a good workaround while you sort out a phone-side issue, and you can message our team from the in-app chat once you’re in. You can also tap “Trouble signing in?” on the app’s sign-in screen to reach us directly.
