Transaction Stacks is a card-based way to work through your unreviewed transactions one at a time. Instead of scrolling a list, you swipe through a visual stack of cards — approving what looks right, flagging anything that needs a second look, and making quick edits along the way.
How to Open Transaction Stacks #
- Go to the Transactions screen.
- Tap the view toggle in the upper-right header row to switch from list view to card view.
To return to the standard list at any time, tap the toggle again or navigate back.
Reading a Card #
Each card shows the key details for a single transaction:
- Merchant name
- Amount (expenses in white, income in green)
- Date
- Category
- Notes
Editable fields are marked with a dotted underline — tap any of them to make a quick change without leaving the stack.
Approving and Following Up #
Swipe right (or tap the checkmark button) to mark a transaction as Reviewed. The card flies out and the next one moves up.
Swipe left (or tap the X button) to mark it as Follow Up. The card moves to the back of your queue so you can revisit it after working through the rest.
Editing on the Card #
You can make common edits directly from the card without opening the full transaction detail:
- Merchant name — Tap the name, type and save
- Date — Tap the date, pick from the date selector
- Notes — Tap the notes field, type and save
- Category — Tap the category pill, choose from the category sheet
For anything more — attachments, split transactions, full history — tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the card to open the full Transaction Details screen.
Tip: Editing is locked while the keyboard or date picker is open, so you won’t accidentally swipe while you’re typing.
Finishing Your Stack #
When you’ve worked through every transaction, you’ll see:
- Amazing! You’ve reviewed all your transactions.
Your queue refills automatically as new unreviewed transactions come in.
A Few Things to Know #
- Pending transactions don’t appear in the stack — only settled, unreviewed ones.
- Swipe left doesn’t mark a transaction as reviewed. It simply sends it to the back of the queue for later. To clear a transaction from the stack, swipe right.
- Your view preference is saved. If you leave the app while in card view, you’ll return to card view next time.
- Edits sync immediately. Any changes you make on a card are saved right away and reflected in your transaction list too.
